Associate Director, Translational Research and Biomarkers (Biomarker Science)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $169,222–$253,000 annually, plus incentive opportunity

What you will do

• Represent translational biomarker science on cross-functional asset teams supporting clinical development programs.
• Develop and execute biomarker strategies covering target engagement, pharmacodynamics, patient stratification, and mechanism-of-action hypotheses.
• Integrate translational and clinical biomarker data to support indication and patient population selection.
• Select and oversee biomarker assays, outsourced activities, and external laboratory partners.
• Develop analysis plans and interpret biomarker data from interim and final clinical study analyses.
• Contribute to clinical study documents, regulatory submissions, health authority responses, and governance presentations.

Requirements

• PhD or MS in Immunology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in translational medicine, biomarker sciences, clinical research, or clinical development within immunology and/or neurology.
• Strong knowledge of biomarker discovery, validation, and application in clinical drug development.
• Expertise in RNA-Seq, exome and whole genome sequencing, proteomics, multiplex flow cytometry, and related biochemical, molecular, cellular, and genomic technologies.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools, complex multi-omics datasets, digital biomarkers, global clinical research regulations, and GCP principles.
• Strong scientific problem-solving, data interpretation, prioritization, and communication skills in a matrixed environment.
