Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (Mississippi)

Location: On-site training at SCP Distributors, 161 Concourse Dr., Pearl, Mississippi. After completing training in May, relocation out of state is required, with company-provided assistance. The role also includes approximately 25% travel.

Compensation: $28.85 per hour for full-time positions in NV, NY, WA, CA, CO, CT, NJ, RI, and HI. Relocation or cost-of-living adjustments may also apply.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on training program in distribution center operations, management, and purchasing.
• Learn sales center procedures, performance standards, and operating methods by shadowing experienced employees.
• Work with contractors, builders, service and maintenance professionals, and retail store customers to understand the industry.
• Attend classroom training in operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Present a comprehensive program-completion presentation to senior-level management.
• Support special operations projects and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience, including relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse and lead and develop a team amid changing priorities.
• Ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time and operate or maneuver heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to lift products weighing up to 75 pounds; the position is safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug testing and background verification.
