Staff Quality Engineer - Software QA

Salary: $101,807–$179,040 per year, with a potential annual or quarterly company bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare software quality plans, estimates, procedures, status reports, and metrics.
• Review and approve software development plans, test procedures, technical documentation, contracts, and supplier deliverables.
• Participate in design, code, test, change-control, customer review, and audit activities.
• Verify software builds, baselines, releases, system-level test results, and configuration-controlled items.
• Audit software configuration management and development activities, track corrective actions, and drive quality process improvements.
• Coordinate program quality requirements, budgets, customer communication, and cross-functional work while mentoring new hires.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 15+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-STD-1520, ISO 9001, and AS9102.
• Experience with root cause corrective action methods, including 5 Whys and Fishbone analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PC software, and standard electronic test equipment.
• Must be a US citizen and have a background eligible for a US Department of Defense Secret Clearance; ITAR access requires US citizenship or US permanent residency.
