Sr. Paralegal - Commercial Real Estate & Mortgage Lending (Hybrid)

Location: Saint Paul, MN Campus; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Candidates should be within a commutable distance of 90 minutes from the hirify.global Home Office in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Salary: $73,700–$136,800 estimated base pay range per year.

What you will do

• Support commercial real estate loan originations, modifications, restructurings, workouts, deed-in-lieu transactions, foreclosures, and other portfolio transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate mortgage loan commitments, amendments, waivers, consents, subordination agreements, non-disturbance agreements, and related documents.
• Review outside counsel work product and coordinate with borrowers, tenants, title companies, mortgage correspondents, escrow agents, servicers, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze leases, property management agreements, ground leases, condominium documents, title, surveys, and other real estate documents to identify risks.
• Oversee execution, recording, filing, release, and post-closing administration of loan documentation.
• Train junior paralegals, improve commercial loan processes, and use generative AI and other technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting commercial real estate lending transactions.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation, title and survey matters, lien priority, UCC filings, leasing, and complex lending transactions.
• Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate contracts and legal documents independently.
• Ability to collaborate with internal business partners and external stakeholders and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions.
• Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems, plus the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with correspondent-driven origination channels, multi-state transactions, portfolio transactions, and leasehold mortgages.
• Experience using generative AI tools to improve efficiency and work quality.
