Paralegal (Asset Management)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; office attendance required at least four days per week, with the option to work from home one day per week

Base salary: $56,100–$98,600 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Support registered investment companies within Columbia Threadneedle Investments under the direction of an attorney.
• Coordinate the creation, updating, and filing of registration statement post-effective amendments, prospectuses, SAIs, supplements, and other disclosure documents.
• Collect and coordinate input from product, marketing, fund administration, compliance, investment personnel, outside counsel, and outside accountants.
• Provide legal and regulatory support for the investment advisory business, collective investment trusts, and related products and investments.
• Support compliance with existing and new SEC regulations and corporate governance matters.
• Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, and business teams across the General Counsel’s Organization.

Requirements

• Associate degree plus a paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply legal requirements applicable to registered investment companies.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, writing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage several ongoing assignments and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid United States work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship needs, including H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, and TN.
