Salary: $62,550–$83,400 per year for applicants in Colorado, Jersey City, and New York City.

What you will do

• Support risk assessments covering operational, safety, property, and liability exposures.
• Analyze data, industry trends, loss drivers, portfolio performance, and emerging risks.
• Partner with underwriters, clients, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to support risk selection, profitability, and portfolio strategies.
• Contribute to loss prevention, resilience, business continuity, underwriting guidelines, governance, and best practices.
• Support the design and delivery of onboarding, learning, and professional development programs for underwriting professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree received no later than June 2027; an unofficial transcript is required with the application.
• Availability to start the program on July 26, 2027.
• Ability to work in the office at least four days per week.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Major in risk management and insurance, finance, economics, business, engineering, data analytics, human resources, organizational development, industrial-organizational psychology, or a related field.
• Interest in commercial insurance, underwriting, risk management, or underwriting talent and capability development.
• Ability to interpret data, trends, and business information and translate findings into recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Internship, academic project, leadership, or relevant work experience in insurance, risk management, engineering, analytics, business, or learning and development.
