Senior Machine Design and Automation Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and implement flexible automated systems for assembly processes.
• Design automated inspection and assembly stations using robotic and vision-system technologies.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to identify automation opportunities and develop project solutions.
• Support existing automation and tooling while implementing process, documentation, safety, and ergonomics improvements.
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods, costs, and schedules.
• Write and execute equipment specifications and Installation Qualification protocols, support validation activities, and coordinate with the machine shop to meet design intent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with robotics, vision systems, and automation.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with PLC/HMI programming and setup.
• Knowledge of IoT and machine connectivity methods.

Nice to have

• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Omron, and other PLC/HMI processors.
• Experience with electrical drawing software, MES, and machine data integration.
• Arc flash and LOTO training.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• CMSE qualification.
