Laboratory Technician - Wet Chemistry

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA laboratory; onsite schedule

What you will do

• Prepare high-throughput environmental samples for metals testing according to Standard Methods and EPA methods.
• Use balances, pipettes, bottle-top dispensers, hot blocks, and volumetric or graduated glassware.
• Monitor sample schedules, holding times, and client due dates to ensure timely processing.
• Review analytical data, quality control results, and QA/QC criteria for batch acceptance.
• Participate in instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvement teams.
• Follow standard operating procedures, the Quality Assurance Program, and safe work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of general laboratory practices, basic laboratory techniques, PPE, balances, pipetting, glassware handling, and laboratory safety.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs and remain stationary for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work the specified Friday–Tuesday schedule and overtime when needed.
• Good organizational and communication skills, multitasking ability, and capacity to work independently and make sound decisions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field.
• At least one year of laboratory experience.
• Experience with metals preparation and analytical methods or instruments.
