Process Engineer Material Handling System (Automation)

Location: Berlin Plant, Germany; flexible and hybrid work arrangements are offered.

Annual starting salary: €69,000.

Procter & Gamble operates a Gillette manufacturing plant in Berlin producing wet-shaving heads for the Fusion, Labs, and Venus shaving systems.

What you will do

• Analyze, develop, and continuously improve the Material Handling System and its AGV-based material transports.
• Improve existing systems and further automate material handling toward unattended operation.
• Plan, calculate, and implement technical projects, including obsolescence solutions.
• Create root-cause-based standards and strategies to improve system reliability.
• Execute system tests and compare technical development variants.
• Coach colleagues in problem solving and system improvements while cooperating with vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, preferably mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics.
• Demonstrated technical mastery and practical experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience in project management and financial planning of projects.
• Strong communication, assertiveness, teamwork, leadership, initiative, flexibility, and coordination skills.
• Very good German at minimum C1 level, ideally fluent or native, and solid English skills.
