Construction Manager

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work and regular travel to active project sites.

What you will do

• Lead multiple construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and project requirements.
• Supervise construction observation and inspection, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurement.
• Review contractor work for conformance with contract documents and manage RFIs, submittals, pay requests, change orders, and claims.
• Lead pre-bid, preconstruction, construction, and closeout meetings while documenting decisions and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, design teams, and project staff to resolve construction issues and support timely decisions.
• Manage, mentor, and develop project staff through work planning, feedback, coaching, and daily direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
• 10+ years of relevant construction experience as a construction manager or superintendent.
• Proficiency with project management information systems and the ability to mentor others in their use.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and understanding of alternative project delivery methods.

Nice to have

• Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with water resource, water treatment, or similar infrastructure construction projects.
