Associate Underwriter (Crop Insurance)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $49,500–$80,000 annually, with geographic adjustments where applicable.

What you will do

• Review annual policy documents, applications, endorsements, cancellations, and crop insurance coverage for accuracy and eligibility.
• Verify policy rates using Risk Management Agency and hirify.global quoting applications, and prepare quotations for agents, policyholders, and prospects.
• Respond to broker, agent, policyholder, RMA, and RSO inquiries within designated timeframes.
• Analyze FCIC policy information, resolve uncleared errors, interpret federal documents, and revise acreage reports.
• Approve or deny applications within delegated authority or recommend decisions to higher authority.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, government regulations, sales closing dates, reporting deadlines, accounting cutoffs, and fund designations.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.
