Manager, Data Science (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. Relocation to Denver is supported with a bonus.

Base compensation: $158,000–$185,000 per year, plus equity and a variable component.

What you will do

• Build, lead, hire, develop, and retain a team of data scientists.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and prioritize analytical projects that support business decisions and growth.
• Develop and deploy machine-learning models, foundational models, and statistical analyses into production.
• Communicate project deliverables and complex analytical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish automated processes to scale insights and manage core data and analytics deliverables.
• Research industry trends and promote operational and culture-building best practices across the department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a measurement-driven function and direct experience working with leadership.
• 2+ years of management experience, including hiring, leading, developing, and retaining talent.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, computer engineering, or information systems.
• Experience with causal inference, regression, A/B testing, machine learning, or advanced statistical modeling.
• Experience with modern data analysis tools such as SQL and Python, and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
