Lead Research Analyst (AI)

Location: Full-time, in-person in New York City, United States

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus and early-stage equity.

hirify.global is building an AI-native primary intelligence platform that automates expert research workflows, including study design, expert recruitment, AI-moderated interviews, and insight synthesis.

What you will do

• Own and define hirify.global’s Industrials research coverage and roadmap from launch.
• Use proprietary datasets to identify company and market trends across advanced manufacturing, automotive, construction and building products, HVAC and mechanical services, specialty chemicals, and related fields.
• Develop forward-looking analyses covering industrial capex cycles, factory automation, reshoring, aftermarket services, input costs, and vehicle platform transitions.
• Create research content for newsletters and client communications, and present actionable insights through calls, webinars, and events.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve the AI-native research methodology and platform.
• Monitor emerging technologies and trends in industrial production, including connected equipment, predictive maintenance, environmental health and safety, and agriculture technology.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data-driven research creation, such as equity research, financial analysis, market research, or consulting.
• Understanding of fundamental research workflows, including idea sourcing, conviction building, primary research, and Industrials investment metrics such as backlog, book-to-bill, capacity utilization, and pricing versus volume.
• In-depth knowledge of several Industrials sectors, including advanced manufacturing, automotive, construction and building products, HVAC and mechanical services, specialty chemicals, agriculture technology, or environmental health and safety.
• Strong long-form and short-form writing, presentation, and client communication skills.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools and agents to automate and deepen analytical workflows.
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets; SQL experience is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience mapping Industrials value chains across plant operations, distribution and dealer networks, EPC contractors, procurement organizations, and aftermarket service teams.
• Experience extending research methodologies into new sectors and building research products.
