Senior Software Engineer/Architect (.NET)

Healthcare technology organization providing third-party administration services for self-funded health plans and scaling its platforms and integration capabilities.

What you will do

• Own solution design and technical decisions for assigned teams, product areas, or workstreams.
• Translate business and technical requirements into designs covering application components, APIs, data flows, integrations, dependencies, and system boundaries.
• Lead technical planning, identify risks and dependencies, and create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Develop complex or foundational application and integration features using C# and .NET, review pull requests, and maintain code quality.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to offshore development teams and resolve implementation questions.
• Design secure, reliable APIs and integrations across REST, event-driven, healthcare file, batch, EDI, and vendor-specific interfaces.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasing responsibility for technical design and engineering leadership.
• Recent hands-on experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Git and pull-request workflows, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Angular and/or React and integrations with external platforms, APIs, and file-based interfaces.
• Understanding of API design, service boundaries, authentication and authorization, resiliency, observability, secure software design, and automated testing.
• Experience leading through influence, documenting technical decisions, and directing distributed or offshore development teams.

Nice to have

• Healthcare payer, third-party administration, claims administration, eligibility, benefits, or healthcare EDI experience.
• Experience with healthcare vendors, clearinghouses, HL7/FHIR, or high-volume file and batch integrations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, SSIS/ETL pipelines, SSRS, or Crystal Reports.
