Multilingual Medical Information Specialist - Pharmacist (French/English)

Location: Canada; remote work, with hybrid work encouraged for new hires living within a reasonably short commute of an office

What you will do

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety information requests from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers through phone, email, web, letters, fax, and scientific meetings.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical and safety responses using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other relevant data.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints according to regulations, SOPs, and client working practices.
• Translate English documents and responses into French and French materials into English for written and telephone delivery.
• Log inquiries accurately and maintain quality checks for adverse events, product complaints, correspondence, translations, and inquiry records.
• Provide rotated after-hours coverage and manage confidential information in accordance with privacy policies and data protection requirements.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree.
• French mother tongue and fluent English required.
• Strong translation, proofreading, verbal, and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette and empathetic customer service.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems, with the ability to learn inquiry handling databases.
