Senior Account Executive (Sales)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia, United States; regular visits to local businesses in Roanoke, Lynchburg, the New River Valley, and surrounding counties.

What you will do

• Generate advertising revenue through established agency relationships, cold calling, prospecting, and new business development.
• Build relationships with local businesses and create advertising plans that support their growth.
• Manage assigned accounts, develop new accounts, conduct sales calls, and deliver client presentations.
• Explain the value of television and digital advertising products, rates, and programs.
• Develop broadcast and digital advertising schedules and coordinate creative production with station personnel and creative services.
• Handle order entry, contracts, follow-up, collections, and revenue strategy execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least two years of experience in media or digital sales.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-term objectives and implementing strategies to meet them.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic office equipment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals, including Google and Facebook advertising.
