Assistant Buyer - Brand

Location: Hybrid role based near Portland, Oregon, United States; onsite four days per week

What you will do

• Support seasonal buying strategies aimed at achieving sales and gross margin goals.
• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports and documentation.
• Build visual assortment tools and analyze multi-year historical data to inform buying decisions.
• Manage in-season pricing and promotions using reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with product line management, allocation, planning, in-store marketing, visual merchandising, and store operations.
• Create product catalogs, upload orders, and reconcile seasonal buys.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in buying, retail merchandising, merchandise planning, or allocation.
• Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Understanding of the retail industry and retail-specific metrics.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Effective time management, resourcefulness, resilience, and confidence.

Nice to have

• Experience with Illustrator.
