Data Engineer (Python/Spark)

Location: Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid work model with the option to work from home two days per week and regular office engagement.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based analytics platforms and data pipelines.
• Acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from a wide range of sources.
• Assemble complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Collaborate with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to deliver fit-for-use data aligned with architecture blueprints.
• Apply coding standards and best practices to build efficient, reusable services and components.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in data engineering, data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data architecture and data processing tools.
• Advanced Python programming, design patterns, and FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud operations, and deployments in environments such as Azure; familiarity with AI and ML concepts and frameworks.

Nice to have

• Azure Associate Data Engineer (DP-203) certification.
• Databricks Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Apache Spark Developer Associate certification.
• Professional Data Engineer certification for Google Cloud Platform.
