Associate Director, Biometrics

Location: Based at the Carlsbad, California campus; onsite work is preferred, while remote work may be considered. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Salary: $164,760–$222,888 per year.

What you will do

• Provide statistical leadership and guidance for clinical development programs, including study design, analysis, interpretation, and development strategy.
• Lead statistical strategy and execution across assigned studies while ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
• Serve as the statistical lead on cross-functional study and project teams and advise on complex statistical issues.
• Design clinical trials, estimate sample sizes, and develop clinical trial randomization.
• Write statistical sections of study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports.
• Oversee CRO statistical activities, deliverables, quality, timelines, and implementation of analysis plans.

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in SAS programming and other statistical software, such as R.
• Knowledge of CDISC standards and their application to clinical development projects.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
