Staff Pharmacist - Express Scripts Canada

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; on-site

What you will do

• Verify prescription orders at multiple dispensing workflow stages using Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance of pharmacy services in line with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Provide patient counseling and respond to clinical prescription queries.
• Communicate with prescribers to modify and manage drug therapy for desired outcomes.
• Train and mentor pharmacy staff and students.
• Adjust priorities and activities to meet business needs and support the Pharmacy Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Valid Manitoba pharmacist license required.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, analyze workflow issues, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Strong customer service, quality, accuracy, communication, organizational, and adaptability skills.
• Availability Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and ability to work on-site in Winnipeg.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail pharmacy and specialty medications.
• Experience with Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Knowledge of the pharmacy benefits management or managed care industry.
• Experience training and coaching less-experienced staff.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
