Accounting Low Code Engineer (Mendix)

Location: Portugal, Lisbon, Amadora; hybrid remote/office

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade finance and accounting applications using Mendix and other low-code technologies.
• Transform manual accounting processes into scalable digital solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
• Develop end-to-end finance applications and support global rollout planning, testing, deployment, releases, change management, and adoption.
• Translate accounting and finance requirements into technical solutions and participate in architecture discussions.
• Integrate Mendix applications with SAP S/4HANA, APIs, Microsoft 365, Azure services, treasury platforms, and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, maintainability, and compliance while mentoring junior developers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience developing enterprise applications with Mendix in finance transformation, finance systems implementation, or global projects.
• Mendix Intermediate or Advanced Certification and a strong understanding of application architecture and software development principles.
• Experience with finance process standardization, system implementations, and complex organizational environments.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, teamwork, initiative, and proactive working skills.
• Mandatory proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alteryx, UiPath, Power Platform, the Azure ecosystem, or similar low-code technologies.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Portuguese and/or German language skills.
• Experience mentoring developers and promoting Mendix best practices.
