Lead AI Engineer (eCommerce Engineering)

Location: Hybrid in Frisco, Texas; must be within commutable distance and available for on-site work as needed. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: USD $135,910–$223,285 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design a unified eCommerce Health platform combining technical system signals with commercial performance metrics.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL transformations, data models, and automated quality validation for eCommerce, MarTech, observability, and operational data.
• Standardize engineering metrics covering delivery velocity, quality, security posture, incident trends, and service ownership.
• Ship AI agents that detect anomalies, provide actionable context, and support intelligent incident triage and root-cause analysis.
• Build AI productivity tools, including RCA assistance, intelligent telemetry search, code copilots, and runbook copilots.
• Partner with Product, SRE, Security, and Architecture to drive adoption of reliable AI solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of application development experience, including large-scale production applications and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience shipping production LLM-powered applications, AI agents, RAG systems, or LLM-integrated internal tools.
• Experience with prompt design, retrieval and grounding, evaluations, guardrails, and operational reliability.
• 3+ years of data engineering and analysis experience, including production pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics platforms.
• Expert SQL and Spark/PySpark skills for production pipelines processing large-scale datasets.
• Strong Python, ETL/ELT orchestration, data modeling, modern data lakehouse, and real-time or event-driven processing experience.

Nice to have

• Experience identifying and scaling AI use cases across engineering teams.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data lakehouse platforms.
