TL;DR
Associate Analyst, Compliance (Financial Crime Compliance): Conducting KYC, CDD, sanctions screening, and risk assessments for financial institution clients and other regulated entities with an accent on due diligence quality, ownership structures, regulatory standing, and transaction activity. Focus on identifying financial crime indicators, escalating higher-risk relationships, and documenting clear onboarding recommendations.
Location: Warsaw, Poland; at least 3 days in the office

What you will do
- Conduct KYC, CDD, and periodic refresh reviews for financial institutions, network partners, and other regulated entities.
- Perform sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and internal watchlist screening, documenting and escalating relevant matches.
- Assess ownership and control structures, licensing, regulatory standing, jurisdictions, customer types, products, services, and expected activity.
- Analyze source and flow of funds, transaction activity, and business models to identify financial crime risk indicators.
- Prepare risk assessments and onboarding recommendations, escalating higher-risk relationships, unusual activity, policy exceptions, and complex findings.
- Support remediation, audits, regulatory enquiries, stakeholder communication, and accurate maintenance of due diligence records.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, including experience in AML, financial crime compliance, KYC, onboarding, due diligence, or risk management within financial services, payments, banking, or fintech.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Current membership in good standing of a State Bar, with the ability to become barred or register as in-house counsel in the state where the role is located.
- Knowledge of AML, CTF, sanctions, KYC/CDD, enhanced due diligence, and financial crime regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, investigative, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to review complex corporate structures, regulatory licenses, control frameworks, and business models while meeting agreed SLAs.
Nice to have
- ICA, ACAMS, or another recognized financial crime, compliance, or risk qualification.
- Experience onboarding financial institutions, payment institutions, fintech companies, correspondent partners, or complex corporate customers.
- Experience with enhanced due diligence, higher-risk customer relationships, onboarding systems, case management tools, screening platforms, or financial crime workflow solutions.
