Process Engineer (Inspection, Device Assembly, Packaging) (Biopharma)

Location: Waterford, Ireland; full-time, 23-month fixed-term contract; standard day shift.

Salary: €54,800–€73,067 per year.

What you will do

• Provide process engineering support for inspection, assembly, labelling, cartoning, and packaging platforms for prefilled syringes, vials, and autoinjectors.
• Deliver continuous improvement projects for manual and high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Lead project activities supporting new manufacturing capacity, product introductions, capacity expansions, and new technology implementation.
• Improve output, yield, OEE, machine performance, and process reliability, with a particular focus on AVI inspection.
• Lead technical root cause investigations and support process and equipment failure resolution, qualification, change controls, vendor selection, and maintenance planning.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Technical Development, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments while supporting safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience working in a highly regulated GMP environment.
• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong documentation, protocol generation, and execution skills.
• Ability to support process improvement, equipment qualification, technical investigations, and manufacturing capacity development.
