Senior Veterinary Toxicologist (Product Safety)

Location: Hybrid work schedule at Mason Business Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

Salary: $144,000–$219,000 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Lead veterinary toxicology and product safety assessments across the full product lifecycle.
• Evaluate ingredients, formulations, materials, and technologies to identify and mitigate animal safety risks.
• Develop science-based safety strategies and risk assessment approaches supporting responsible commercialization.
• Partner with research and development, product safety, regulatory, quality, and clinical teams.
• Provide expert guidance on veterinary toxicology and exposure science for business and technical decisions.
• Support regulatory submissions, product stewardship, post-market safety monitoring, and external scientific relationships.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or equivalent) required.
• Experience in veterinary toxicology, animal health, product safety, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, or a related scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of toxicology, risk assessment, exposure science, and product safety evaluation.
• Ability to apply scientific expertise to complex technical and business challenges.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule at Mason Business Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Nice to have

• PhD in toxicology, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
• Advanced training or board certification in toxicology, pharmacology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
• Experience managing post-market safety surveillance programs.
