Registered Nurse, RN - Lactation Nurse - New Competitive Pay!

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, Melrose, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time, 32 hours per week, day/evening shift.

Pay range: $37.50–$68.47 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide inpatient and outpatient lactation consultation and support for breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop individualized care, education, discharge, and referral plans for patients and families.
• Document clinical assessments, care plans, patient education, and changes in health status.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate care appropriately, and support the development of new staff.
• Participate in evidence-based practice, performance improvement, professional development, and departmental committees.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required.
• At least 2 years of inpatient lactation consultation experience required.
• Knowledge of clinical breastfeeding issues common to the early postpartum period.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals; occasional lifting of 30–35 pounds and prolonged standing and walking are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
