Senior Manager Instrumentation and Maintenance (Biotech)

Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States; onsite role supporting 24/7 plant operations

Salary: $141,564.10–$191,527.90 per year

What you will do

• Build and lead the Maintenance and Instrumentation organization and serve as the primary point of contact for the function.
• Develop long-term technical support strategies for installed systems, equipment, maintenance procedures, and CMMS setup.
• Own preventive maintenance and calibration programs supporting reliable 24/7 plant and utility operations.
• Ensure maintenance activities, procedures, safety practices, and system validation support meet cGMP, regulatory, and hirify.global standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, audits, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders while overseeing complex facilities and capital projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 12 years of engineering experience, or an associate’s degree with 10 years, bachelor’s degree with 8 years, master’s degree with 6 years, or doctorate with 2 years.
• At least 2 years of direct people management or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Experience in maintenance or engineering within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, another regulated environment, or the military is preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance management, computerized maintenance management systems, facilities quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, technical writing, communication, presentation, interpersonal, facilitation, and prioritization skills.
• Work schedule flexibility is required to support 24/7 operations, including occasional after-hours engineering coverage and up to 10% domestic or international travel.
