Project Manager I (Electrical Construction)

Location: Alvarado, Texas, United States; onsite. Essential functions are performed at a company-designated office or field location.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day activities and operational oversight for assigned electrical construction projects.
• Prepare construction schedules, look-ahead documents, progress reports, billing information, and project deliverables.
• Prepare labor and material cost estimates, perform field take-offs, and develop bills of material for purchasing.
• Monitor job costs against budgets and report project status to management.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, construction personnel, and internal stakeholders, including field walk-downs and estimate reviews.
• Submit requests for information, assist with change orders, and track the basis of cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management and estimating experience in the electrical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Knowledge of specifications, proposals, project documentation, the N.E.C., and relevant local codes.
• Ability to interpret civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating software such as Accubid, and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
