Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI (Image & Video)

Location: London; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week

What you will do

• Develop ML products and AI Lenses serving millions of hirify.globalchat users, focusing on image and video generation and editing, as well as LLMs.
• Build augmented reality experiences using diffusion and flow-matching models.
• Develop and ship generative AI pipelines for image and video generation.
• Collaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Lens Content, and Data Science teams to prototype ideas, integrate models and APIs, and improve products through A/B testing and user feedback.
• Evaluate open-source models and third-party AI APIs, monitor research developments, and support build-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning, mathematics, and deep learning foundations.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience with neural rendering, generative models, segmentation, object detection, classification, tracking, or related deep learning and computer vision applications.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, independence, and experience leading complex technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of computer graphics foundations.
• Experience with visual generative AI models for image and video generation and editing.
• Experience evaluating the visual quality of image and video models.
• Successful projects in generative AI and the ability to learn and apply new concepts proactively.
