Sr. Manager, Threat Engineering (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise threat management and threat modeling, using adversary behaviors and MITRE ATT&CK to guide detection engineering, vulnerability prioritization, and governance.
• Define detection strategy for human and non-human identities, service accounts, workloads, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and agentic systems.
• Build a threat capability maturity model spanning detection, response, identity security, data governance, privacy, third-party risk, and crisis readiness.
• Remain hands-on in defining, validating, and tuning detections across Microsoft 365, GCP, cloud, endpoint, network, application, and data environments.
• Lead adversarial validation, red team, purple team, penetration testing, and consequence-driven tabletop exercises.
• Partner with MSSPs, legal counsel, communications, insurance providers, and executives while delivering threat, risk, control maturity, and residual-risk reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in threat engineering, detection engineering, advanced security engineering, or related roles.
• Advanced expertise in threat modeling, threat hunting, and adversarial techniques across enterprise networks, Microsoft 365, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, ERP platforms, and data environments.
• Strong technical depth in identity and access management, non-human identities, cloud security, configuration management, runtime security, data governance, and AI-related risk.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical staff while remaining engaged in threat strategy, governance, audit assurance, adversarial analysis, and executive consequence management.

Nice to have

• CISSP, OSCP, GWAPT, or similar professional certification.
