Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or Denver, CO with in-person attendance expected at least 5 days per week

Salary: $169,000 - $255,000 USD (depending on location zone)

What you will do

• Lead the Detection & Response and Threat Intelligence organizations across North America, setting technical vision and organizational strategy.
• Mature incident response capabilities by improving detection coverage, response workflows, and operational readiness.
• Serve as Incident Commander for high-severity security events and conduct thorough post-incident reviews.
• Partner with Security Engineering, Infrastructure, and Trust & Safety to translate emerging threats into scalable defenses.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation to improve analyst productivity and accelerate investigations.
• Contribute to long-term security strategy, annual planning, budgeting, and organizational design.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, detection engineering, or threat intelligence.
• 4+ years of experience leading high-performing security engineering or security operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling detection and response programs and security metrics.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional response efforts for high-severity incidents with legal and executive stakeholders.
• Strong technical foundation across modern cloud environments, endpoint security, identity systems, SIEM, and EDR.
• Experience applying automation, AI, or software engineering practices to security operations.
