What you will do

• Direct the Chemical Induced Proximity Center and set chemistry strategy across small-molecule drug discovery programs.
• Lead scientists and large-scale multidisciplinary projects through cross-functional research collaboration.
• Advance proximity-based therapeutic platforms, including PROTACs, molecular glues, bifunctional modulators, protein degraders, synthetic gene regulators, and functional effectors.
• Design and optimize focused chemical libraries to identify hits, leads, and drug candidates that control selective protein interactions and cellular phenotypes.
• Oversee SAR, potency, selectivity, drug-like properties, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and toxicological optimization with ADMET and DMPK teams.
• Manage CROs and external chemistry partners, support due diligence and licensing activities, and lead high-impact publication efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific area is required; a PhD is preferred.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 13 years with a master's degree, or 10 years with a PhD.
• Experience in drug discovery within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is highly preferred.
• Management experience and the ability to recruit, mentor, and grow scientific teams are preferred.
• Experience with computational design or the use of AI and machine learning in virtual screening, small-molecule design, and optimization is preferred.
