What you will do

• Design and synthesize small molecules with optimized properties using organic and medicinal chemistry expertise.
• Support receptor-driven discovery of bioactive and bio-functional molecules and their industrial applications.
• Collaborate with Biology, Computational Science, AI, and Machine Learning teams to accelerate discovery.
• Work with Clinical Research Organizations on the synthesis of compound libraries and specific compounds.
• Evaluate chemistry and SAR data and present findings at internal and external meetings and conferences.
• Prepare invention disclosures, publication manuscripts, and laboratory reports while identifying new chemistries, medicinal chemistry techniques, and automation opportunities.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of post-PhD experience, or equivalent, in organic or medicinal chemistry in an academic, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong synthetic and analytical chemistry skills, including the ability to design and implement multi-step syntheses and characterize complex molecules.
• Familiarity with modern medicinal chemistry and lead optimization techniques, including optimization of multi-parameter bioactivity and physicochemical properties.
• Familiarity with molecular modeling and other computational tools used to accelerate discovery of bioactive small molecules.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a drive for excellence and impact.
• Ability to innovate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
