Staff Physician-Anesthesiology (Pediatric Anesthesiology)

What you will do

• Provide pediatric anesthesia and patient care for oncology, pain management, and other catastrophic diseases.
• Obtain informed consent, assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment responses.
• Provide consultation and follow-up services for nurses, physicians, referring providers, patients, and families.
• Supervise assigned clinical staff, manage scheduling and work assignments, and support staff development and continuing education.
• Facilitate clinical experiences for postdoctoral fellows and participate in ongoing assessments and education.
• Monitor compliance, prepare departmental reports, and contribute to patient-safety and quality-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree required.
• ACGME-accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship training required.
• Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in pediatric anesthesiology is preferred.
• Experience in pediatrics or the relevant specialty area is preferred.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Tennessee and active unrestricted privileges at St. Jude are required.
