Registered Nurse, RN - Emergency Department, Sign On Bonus Eligible - New Competitive Pay!

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, Melrose, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite emergency department role with 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every third weekend.

Pay range: $37.50–$75.32 per hour. Sign-on bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care to emergency department patients and their families according to physician orders and established procedures.
• Conduct, document, and evaluate accurate clinical assessments and individualized plans of care.
• Apply nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to changing patient needs.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate appropriately, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions and advanced directives, and develop discharge plans with appropriate referrals.
• Support new staff development, precept department staff, and participate in professional development and committees.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least one year of RN experience required. Experience requirements vary by RN career pathway level.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to emergency care may be required.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to apply the nursing process and meet the physical demands of patient care, including lifting, prolonged standing, and exposure to infectious materials and blood-borne pathogens.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous critical care experience.
