Technical Solutions Architect (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Global, remote-friendly team with headquarters in Barcelona and colleagues across the US, UK, and beyond.

hirify.global develops Nextflow and the hirify.global Platform to help life sciences organizations and scientists run, manage, and scale complex data workflows.

What you will do

• Lead technical onboarding and client implementations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Deploy the infrastructure required for hirify.global Platform and its compute workloads, including networking, DNS, TLS, private CAs, IAM, secrets, container runtimes, and storage.
• Guide client IT teams through infrastructure changes while working within security and compliance constraints.
• Build repeatable deployment tooling with pre-flight checks, tests, clear failure handling, and documentation.
• Partner with Sales and Scientific Development on pre-sales activities and proof-of-concept deployments.
• Serve as a senior escalation point and turn recurring client issues into lasting fixes with internal teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Confident knowledge of networking, TLS and certificate management, IAM, access control, security, and compliance.
• Terraform experience is required; familiarity with CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible is beneficial.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, plus comfort building production tools in Python and Bash.
• Understanding of workflow engines running against remote compute, storage, and container runtimes.
• Ability to lead technical onboarding and pre-sales, elicit requirements, navigate ambiguity, and communicate with scientists, bioinformaticians, IT, and DevOps teams.

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud expertise or experience with HPC schedulers such as SLURM or Grid Engine.
• Helm, life sciences, bioinformatics, or scientific computing experience.
• Technical pre-sales, Nextflow, or startup experience.
