DS Global Payroll Automation Sr Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based in Bogotá, Colombia; the posting also lists Manila, Philippines. Requires collaboration across NA, EMEA, LATAM, and ASPAC time zones, with some travel.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, design, development, and deployment of automation solutions for global payroll operations.
• Identify automation opportunities across gross-to-net calculations, validations, reconciliations, reporting, and tax support.
• Gather requirements and design current-state and future-state processes across Payroll, HR, Tax, Finance, IT, HRIS, time systems, general ledger, and vendors.
• Build scalable workflows using Alteryx, UiPath, and Azure, with error handling, logging, audit traceability, and data privacy controls.
• Develop Power BI dashboards for payroll variance analysis, headcount, cost, tax reporting, cycle time, error rates, and processing accuracy.
• Lead production support, governance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder coordination across payroll teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, payroll technology, or automation roles, including global payroll operations.
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx, UiPath, Azure, and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including taxes, filings, reporting, controls, and compliance.
• Experience with payroll systems such as SAP, Workday, or ADP, requirements gathering, solution design, deployment, and finance-system integration.
• Knowledge of SOX and audit frameworks, SFTP, PGP encryption, segregation of duties, and data governance standards.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating with external payroll and professional services vendors such as ADP, EY, or Fidelity.
• Experience mentoring automation developers and analysts.
