Import Export Specialist (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Trecate (NO), Italy; onsite at the chemical plant

Salary: Starting from €40,000 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus and yearly welfare plan.

What you will do

• Coordinate and supervise the Import/Export team.
• Plan and organize domestic and international export shipments across air, ocean, and road transportation.
• Manage customs documentation, certificates of origin, letters of credit, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, and CMRs.
• Supervise compliance with ADR, IMDG, and IATA dangerous-goods transport regulations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, international clients, Production, Sales, Shipping/Warehouse, and HSE.
• Align operational customs flows with the Customs & Trade Manager and resolve clearance issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or an equivalent technical or linguistic diploma with logistics or international trade training.
• 3–5 years of experience in export logistics, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Experience with freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, and export operations.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and customs documentation.
• Certification or in-depth knowledge of ADR regulations for dangerous-goods transport.
• Excellent command of English; leadership, problem-solving, and stress-management skills.
