Sports Content Creator

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; flexibility to work any shift is required.

Compensation: $16.50–$18 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

What you will do

• Produce and present clear, engaging sports reports for television, streaming, websites, and social media.
• Create programs, long-form content, interviews, discussions, and original stories covering traditional and non-traditional sports topics.
• Research, write, copy edit, and coordinate sports programming and related content.
• Respond to breaking sports events and collaborate with the sports team on comprehensive coverage.
• Shoot, set up, compose, record, and edit video for live, recorded, social, streaming, website, and television content.
• Operate and maintain podcast broadcast and video equipment, engage with viewers on social media, and participate in promotional appearances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least three years of experience in sports reporting and anchoring, depending on market size.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib.
• Experience posting and editing content across social media platforms, plus proficiency with computers and office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to guide, motivate, coach, and mentor others.
