What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain business-critical frontend and backend applications for BMG treasury and transaction banking platforms.
• Build APIs, integration services, and user-facing functionality supporting liquidity and information management solutions.
• Own services throughout their lifecycle, including monitoring, incident investigation, root cause analysis, on-call support, and reliability improvements.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, automated testing, refactoring, and platform modernization.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and team productivity.
• Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, DevOps engineers, stakeholders, and international squads while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a JVM language and related technology stack.
• Hands-on experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, REST or gRPC APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility, security, and a UI framework such as Lit-HTML, Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, JMS, Kafka, relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle, communication protocols, Domain-Driven Design, and monolith and microservices architecture patterns.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Azure DevOps, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience testing code with JUnit, Mockito, BDD frameworks, and Playwright for web testing and automation.
• Advanced English is required. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, Financial Engineering, or an equivalent analytical field is expected.

Nice to have

• Performance testing with JMeter or Gatling.
• Application metrics, monitoring, alerting, profiling, and Elastic Stack experience.
• IT security knowledge and experience with Kotlin or other JVM and programming languages.
