Intelligence Analyst III (Imagery Analysis)

Location: Springfield, Virginia, United States; no remote or telework allowed

Projected compensation: $82,828.75–$132,827.85 per year.

What you will do

• Support the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office as part of its integration testing and quality assurance work.
• Provide independent verification and validation of software, hardware, and information system releases before operations.
• Support contingency operations, battle staff activities, operational-level planning, training exercises, and strategic engagement policy.
• Monitor and analyze political, military, and economic developments across assigned areas of responsibility and interest.
• Assess military capabilities, doctrine, weapons acquisitions, force employment, and future political-military developments.
• Research, author, and coordinate threat assessments while validating intelligence from multiple sources.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, with the ability to maintain it, is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant experience: 5–7 years with a BS, 3–5 years with an MS, or 0–2 years with a PhD.
• Experience as a collections manager and as an imagery-field trainer or course developer.
• Working knowledge of coding and scripting techniques and the ability to use electronic light tables, including Remote View, SOCET GXP, and Erdas IMAGINE.
• Experience with PAN, IR, MSI, RADAR, LIDAR, FMV imagery, Full Spectrum GEOINT products, imagery exploitation, artifact and anomaly identification, and NIIRS quality scales.
• Ability to develop technical solutions, conduct root-cause analysis, communicate effectively, and guide junior personnel or assume a team lead role.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited imagery analysis training program through the U.S. military or a civilian government agency.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
