What you will do

• Support onsite incident response engagements for civilian government agencies and critical asset owners affected by cyber-attacks.
• Coordinate preliminary investigations and interface with customers alongside the Government lead.
• Analyze anomalous network activity, network traffic, device integrity data, and attack methods to determine severity and impact.
• Collect and analyze intrusion artifacts, including PCAP files, domains, URIs, certificates, and network metadata.
• Develop mitigation plans, Computer Network Defense guidance, incident reports, and system remediation recommendations.
• Perform forensic collection, intrusion correlation, threat analysis, and incident tracking during real-time CND engagements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required; ability to obtain DHS Suitability required.
• 8+ years of directly relevant experience in network investigations, or a high school diploma plus 10+ years of network investigations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field, unless qualifying through the alternative experience path.
• In-depth knowledge of CND policies, procedures, regulations, TCP/IP, standard network protocols, Wi-Fi networking, and network topologies.
• Experience analyzing network traffic, reconstructing malicious activity, examining data flows, and working collaboratively across physical locations.

Nice to have

• Network analysis software experience, including Wireshark, and proficiency extracting information from PCAP data.
• Knowledge of network device integrity, non-traditional network traffic, evidence preservation, and virtualized environments.
• Experience designing cybersecurity systems in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• DoD 8140.01, IAT Level II, IASAE II, CSSP Analyst, GCIA, GCIH, CSSP Incident Responder, or CEH certifications.
• SANS GIAC GNFA certification.
