TL;DR
Plant Mechanic - CO2 (Oil and Gas): Maintaining and operating process and compression equipment at a gas processing plant with an accent on gas compressors, pumps, NGL recovery, and fuel manufacturing. Focus on monitoring facilities, performing equipment maintenance and start-ups/shutdowns, managing safety controls, and responding to on-call requirements.
Location: Snyder, Texas, United States; onsite. Must be able to be on site within 45 minutes of call-outs and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

What you will do
- Monitor plant facilities and identify operational problems.
- Perform routine maintenance on process and compression equipment, including pumps and gas compressors.
- Start up and shut down equipment and facilities safely.
- Operate company vehicles and communicate activities to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate with contractors and represent during contract activities.
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns; perform lockout/tag-out duties and complete work orders in Maximo.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience level may range from 1 to 5 depending on skills and experience; the posting lists 2–4 years as the typical experience range.
- Basic math and computer skills, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company’s insurers.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, use hand tools, climb stairs or ladders, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Availability for 24/7 on-call rotation, overtime, and arrival on site within 45 minutes of a call-out is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in oil and gas operations or gas processing.
- Experience maintaining and operating gas compression equipment.
- Associate or technical degree in an applicable field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
