Computer Vision Engineer (AI)

Builds systems that interpret above-ground environments from imagery and multi-sensor data for mapping outputs.

What you will do

• Own computer vision algorithm development from problem framing with real data through model design, iteration, and production accuracy validation.
• Develop algorithms for scene understanding using imagery and multi-sensor data.
• Solve 2D-to-3D problems including geometric reasoning, reconstruction, localization, depth, and registration.
• Prototype, benchmark, and refine models against proprietary data and accuracy requirements.
• Collaborate with Mapping and Engineering experts to validate real-world robustness.
• Work with the Software team to convert prototypes into production-grade systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience developing computer vision and machine learning algorithms; academic research experience is additional.
• Hands-on experience with 2D-to-3D problems such as navigation, mapping, 3D reconstruction, photogrammetry, localization, or depth estimation.
• Practical experience with computer vision tasks including detection, segmentation, tracking, or registration on imperfect real-world data.
• Strong understanding of modern deep learning architectures, including transformer-based and multimodal models.
• Strong proficiency in Python, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, and PyTorch.
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Experience combining text and imagery, such as in document analysis.
• Experience with point-cloud analysis, LiDAR, aerial imagery, orthophotos, satellite imagery, or geolocation.
• Familiarity with cloud development environments, particularly AWS.
