Senior Legal Counsel - Contracts Center of Excellence

Location: On-site at the hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 15% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Salary: $188,251–$230,084 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex intellectual property agreements, including technology development, licensing, confidentiality, joint development, collaboration, data, and software agreements.
• Provide legal support for IT, procurement, supply chain, services, outsourcing, and other commercial transactions.
• Advise business teams on intellectual property ownership, licensing, confidentiality, data rights, technology transfer, software, cybersecurity, and contracting risks.
• Develop business-oriented contracting strategies and risk mitigation approaches for complex and strategically important transactions.
• Lead cross-functional transactional processes, coordinate reviews, resolve negotiation issues, and support timely execution.
• Improve contract templates, playbooks, clause libraries, negotiation guidance, and contracting processes within the Contracts Center of Excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
• Juris Doctor degree, completed and verified before starting.
• At least seven years of law firm and/or in-house intellectual property experience.
• Active membership in a United States bar in good standing is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work on-site at the Maplewood, Minnesota location at least four days per week.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, physics, engineering, science, or information technology.
• Knowledge and experience with AI tools and contracting technologies.
• Business acumen and ability to advise on strategic business initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a results-oriented, collaborative approach.
