Tax Partner (Banking & Financial Institutions)

What you will do

• Build out the Banking tax practice across the New York and Northeast markets.
• Lead multiple teams and client engagements for complex banking clients.
• Drive revenue growth through existing-client expansion, cross-selling, and new-client development.
• Partner with the National Financial Services tax industry leader on practice growth strategies and initiatives.
• Mentor and coach tax professionals and develop future firm leaders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of business taxation experience at a Big Four or large national or regional accounting firm, or equivalent law firm or industry experience focused on banking and financial institution clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA or JD qualification.
• Extensive tax compliance and consulting experience serving financial services clients.
• Ability to support financial growth efforts and manage a book of business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience generating new business and expanding service opportunities.
• Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
