What you will do

• Lead federal tax compliance and consulting services for middle-market and multinational commercial clients.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and advise on corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC 740.
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and develop client recommendations.
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on state and local tax, high-net-worth, international, R&D, credits, and incentives matters.
• Oversee tax planning, complex tax research, engagement staffing, billing, collections, and client profitability.
• Build the Life Sciences practice through networking, proposals, market positioning, business development, mentoring, and recruiting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable.
• CPA or JD required.
• 15+ years of federal tax compliance and consulting experience in a professional services firm; relevant industry experience is considered.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• Management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong software and Microsoft Suite skills, ethical judgment, leadership ability, and commitment to quality and timely delivery.
