Postdoctoral Research Associate (Agricultural AI)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage field research experiments.
• Coordinate and conduct ground-truth data collection and analyze experimental results.
• Operate, test, validate, and refine crop models for improved prediction accuracy.
• Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to crop management, yield prediction, and decision-support systems.
• Model crop growth and yield, water use, and carbon and nitrogen cycling under agricultural management practices.
• Prepare peer-reviewed manuscripts, contribute to grant proposals, and present findings at scientific meetings.

Requirements

• PhD in Agronomy, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in agricultural remote sensing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary research team.
• CV or resume, cover letter, list of references, and proof of the conferred degree or transcript are required.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience handling remotely sensed geospatial datasets and programming in R or Python.
• Knowledge of carbon and nitrogen cycling, carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, and global warming potential.
• Authored or co-authored publications and participation in scientific meetings, seminars, or conferences.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
