Mechanical Engineering Co-op (Medical Devices)

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Hourly pay: $20.00–$24.00

hirify.global develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions, including wearable defibrillators, heart failure monitoring systems, and oxygen therapy.

What you will do

• Create new mechanical designs and modify existing designs using CAD.
• Develop CAD assemblies and models from concept sketches.
• Perform envelope studies and geometry comparisons to confirm form and fit.
• Execute product testing plans to verify new product designs.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Active enrollment in the co-operative education program of an accredited university while pursuing mechanical engineering required.
• Training in CAD modeling and assembly.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including frequent repetitive motions, constant sitting, and occasional standing, walking, talking, and hearing.

Nice to have

• Experience building parts and assemblies using 3D printers.
