Assistant Project Manager (Civil Construction)

Location: Lorton, Virginia, with projects across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Base salary: $80,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, supervising, and coordinating construction projects.
• Help manage project deadlines, budgets, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Assist with negotiating and managing vendor and subcontractor contracts.
• Organize, file, and maintain project documentation.
• Support compliance with company health and safety policies and requirements.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of construction management experience.
• Understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer programs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States full-time, and able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
